One of the wide receivers Florida is looking at from the class of 2024 is Grimsley (Greensboro, North Carolina) pass catcher [autotag]Terrell Anderson[/autotag].
The Gators offered Anderson on Friday, triggering the planning stages of a spring meeting between the two parties, according to 247Sports. While he’s aiming for March, Anderson doesn’t have a date locked in just yet for his first trip to the Swamp.
Anderson is confident that he’ll make it to campus for a spring practice, though. He has a long list of schools that he wants to check out once the dead period is lifted. In addition to Florida, he’s looking at Cincinnati, FSU and Penn State in March.
“Florida is definitely going to be in the mix now,” Anderson said to 247Sports. “I am going to keep cutting my list down to maybe like a Top seven in May. Then most of those schools are going to be my official visits in the summer. It’s a really good school. They have one of the best graduation rates in the nation. Everyone talks about Florida being one of the best and biggest schools in the SEC. They play in the hardest conference, so I know they are capable of a lot of things.”

Anderson has already named a top 10, but adding another SEC offer changes things. Auburn, Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, NC State, Penn State, Tennessee, UCF and Virginia Tech made the last cut for him, but Florida might replace one of those programs when he brings it down to a top seven.
Seeing the team in action and meeting with the coaching staff in person should help Florida’s chances with him. Right now, the On3 recruiting prediction machine has North Carolina and NC State as the top two programs in his recruitment.
A consensus three-star recruit, Anderson is ranked No. 554 overall on the 247Sports composite and is No. 69 among receivers in the class.
