The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party gets set to kick off on Saturday and as game time quickly approaches, the oddsmakers are putting their final touches on the betting lines for this afternoon’s big rivalry game between the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs.
The two programs enter the matchup in very different states of affairs. The ‘Dawgs earned its first national championship since 1980 last season and have come out of the gates looking hot again in 2022. The Gators, on the other hand, have been fledgling under new head coach [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] after the [autotag]Dan Mullen[/autotag] era came to an abrupt ending prior to the conclusion of the 2021 campaign.
The Bulldogs hold a solid edge on the Gators in the all-time series with a 53-44-2 record dating back to the first meeting in 1915. Both schools own series-high seven-game winning streaks, with Florida’s coming from 1990 to 1996 and Georgia’s from 1941 to 1948. The long-time rivals have split their last two meetings but UGA has won four of the past five coming into Saturday.
