Florida likely to receive official visit from coveted in-state ATH

The Florida Gators are scheduling official visits for the summer, and this South Florida recruit says he’s close to locking in a date.

Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, Florida) athlete [autotag]Kevin Levy[/autotag] should be getting a visit from Florida defensive backs coach Corey Raymond this week, according to Gators Online, and he also says that an official visit is “most likely” coming in June.

“I plan to go back,” Levy said. “I just haven’t got a date down yet.”

Levy’s last trip to the Swamp came in January when Billy Napier and Co. were hosting large groups of recruits every weekend in a series of Junior Days. He enjoyed himself in Gainesville, but an official visit should be a completely different experience.

Right now, it’s Florida State, Louisville, Texas A&M and Ole Miss that stand out along with Florida, and the Gators need to do something to create a bigger gap between them and other programs.

The On3 recruiting prediction machine gives Florida a 31.3% projection rate and FSU is a close No. 2 with 27.4% odds.

Levy is a consensus three-star recruit right now and ranks as high as 42nd among athletes in the class of 2024, according to 247Sports. The On3 industry ranking, which uses a weighted average of the four major recruiting services, has him just below that mark at No. 43 among athletes and No. 727 overall in the class.
