Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels are navigating the 2023-24 season while also on the recruiting trail to try and land some of the top prospects in future classes.
One prospect that North Carolina has made a priority is five-star forward Caleb Wilson.
The Atlanta, Georgia prospect is one of the top players overall in the 2025 class, holding 23 offers including from some big-time programs. He’s already taken a few visits and postponed his to North Carolina recently. But Wilson is looking to get to Chapel Hill on a future visit and spoke highly of the Tar Heels’ program.
In an interview with Joe Tipton of On3, Wilson had this to say about UNC:
“They’re a blue blood. I like seeing what those guys have to offer. I definitely love Carolina. Michael Jordan went there. They have rich basketball culture which is something I want in a school.”
We usually don’t read a whole lot into these interviews but it’s hard not to feel good about these comments. Now, UNC really needs to get Wilson on campus to make a good impression and maybe improve their spot in his recruitment.
