Things have gotten a little zany in the recruitment and commitment of five-star center Efton Reid. The 6-foot, 11-inch, 225-pounder from IMG Academy was supposed to let the world know which school he would attend at some point Thursday, but as time wore on, there was little news coming from his camp, or should we say his mom.
Reid’s mother has been the one speaking for him in a very tight-lipped, mysterious recruitment process that seems to involve Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and now seemingly Florida State. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Reid is rated as the No. 3 center and 24th overall national prospect. There are no Crystal Ball predictions which sounds about right.
So, the college basketball world waited, until his mother shared that the decision would be postponed via her Twitter account late in the day.
Mama Bear 🐻 has spoken! Efton Reid’s commitment has been postponed. Stay tuned!
