Five-star cornerback Kobe Black announced the top five schools left in his recruitment on Wednesday.
The Waco native is rated the No. 2 cornerback in the country for the 2024 cycle and the No. 5 overall recruit in Texas, according to 247Sports. Texas made the cut for his top schools alongside LSU, Texas A&M, Ohio State and Oregon.
In 2022, Black recorded 36 tackles, two tackles for loss, nine pass breakups and two interceptions for Connally High School.
As of now, Texas is viewed as the leader in his recruitment by both 247Sports and On3’s recruiting prediction machine.
