Five-star 2025 recruit plans to reschedule visit to UNC

A big five-star recruiting target says he plans on rescheduling his visit to the UNC basketball program.

One of the top prospects on North Carolina’s 2025 recruiting board is five-star power forward Caleb Wilson. The Atlanta native is one of the best prospects overall and is gaining interest from several big programs across the country.

With 23 offers, Wilson’s recruitment is starting to pick up a bit as he’s already taken some visits.

Wilson was set to be on UNC’s campus earlier in November but canceled last minute due to wanting a free weekend to relax before his high school season begins. But that doesn’t mean Wilson won’t be on campus at some point.

Talking to Travis Branham of 247Sports, Wilson revealed that he will reschedule the visit and get to campus:

Early this month, Wilson was planning a unofficial visit to see the North Carolina Tar Heels but decided not to take the visit in order to prepare for the high school season.

However, he plans to reschedule and shared his thoughts on the prestigious program.

“They’re a blue blood,” he said of the Tar Heels. “I like seeing what those guys have to offer. I definitely love Carolina, Michael Jordan went there and a rich basketball culture is something that I want in a school.”

North Carolina won’t be the only program he will visit during the rest of his recruitment. He also plans on visiting rival Duke as well as Baylor and Cincinnati.

Wilson is doing all his homework throughout his recruitment and has more schools than just North Carolina that he plans to visit.

“I will take visits to schools, not soon. I will definitely take one to Baylor, Duke and UNC, probably Cincinnati also,” he said.”

Wilson’s recruitment will be one to watch over the next year, especially with visits on tap.
