Five-star 2025 offensive tackle Michael Fasusi is a prime recruit for USC

This is the kind of recruit USC has to pull into the program.

Lewisville (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi is a prized recruit for the 2025 class which is led by Julian Lewis.

This month, the 6-foot-5, 300-pound lineman visited Texas A&M and will take visits to both Missouri and Oregon.

Ranked as the No. 1 class of 2025 offensive tackle in Texas (247Sports Composite), Michael Fasusi has been offered by approximately 40 total programs, including several other Big Ten schools.

USC’s need to land five-star offensive linemen is well-documented.

“If there’s one position group where recruiting and internal development should be better than the transfer portal as the main source of talent, it’s on the offensive line. Teams need an offensive line with continuity. Players need to come up within a program, learn together, and develop together. Rentals in the portal for offensive linemen aren’t guaranteed to create a comfortable, seamless offensive line. USC found this out in 2023. The portal pickups for the Trojans didn’t mesh. They will need their in-house offensive linemen to thrive as a group in 2024.

“If USC is going to become elite under Lincoln Riley, Josh Henson needs to land — and then develop — top recruits on the offensive line. Star ratings for players can be overrated and overvalued. Offensive line, however, is an exception.”

We will see if USC can make a splash in the 2025 class for a premium offensive tackle.
