Oklahoma will be getting another chance to sway Camar Wheaton in their direction.
Wheaton, a 2021 five-star running back out of Garland, Texas, will be joining several other Oklahoma targets for the Sooner Summit.
The Sooner Summit is a player-organized event created by top-ranked 2021 QB Caleb Williams. The idea is to get targets to Norman while the Oklahoma coaches are in an NCAA dead period. Williams, a five-star Oklahoma commit, has had his eye on getting several players to Norman, and apparently Wheaton made his list.
Williams has also been adamantly pursuing recruits Kelvin Gilliam, Emeka Egbuka, Tristan Leigh and Bryce Foster.
Wheaton is the top-ranked running back in 2021, per Rivals.

Oklahoma is currently ranked No. 16 in the 2021 football team rankings on Rivals. With just 13 commitments, they could see a huge boost with targets like Wheaton.
The Sooners are scheduled to kickoff their season against Missouri State on September 12. They will play only one nonconference game before taking on their Big 12 slate.
