Five initial thoughts from Texas’ spring game on Saturday

The D’Shawn Jamison interception was just a reminder that he’s the teams best cornerback, creating havoc in the secondary during his time out there.

However, it was the safety play that caught my eye on Saturday. With Caden Sterns and Chris Brown both gone to the upcoming NFL draft, a new pair of safeties have emerged in Jerrin Thomspson and Brendan Schooler.

They each showcased the willingness to be solid tacklers and make plays on the ball. The combination of these two with B.J. Foster could help return Texas to its ‘DBU’ former glory.
