First-round QB prospect Malik Willis makes incredible TD pass

The 2022 draft class isn’t as loaded at the quarterback position as last year’s, but there are a few interesting prospects worth monitoring. One of those prospects is Liberty quarterback Malik Willis.

The Atlanta native, who was forced to sit out in 2019 after transferring from Auburn, is currently projected as a first-round prospect. On Saturday, despite playing arguably his worst game, Willis led Liberty to their fifth win and accounted for over 300 yards, three touchdowns and one incredible play that will surely help his draft stock.

Willis also threw threw interceptions in the game, but in fairness, they were the first ones he’s thrown all season. For the year, he’s racked up over 1,300 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, while adding nearly 500 yards on the ground and seven rushing touchdowns.

Atlanta could be looking for a quarterback next season, depending on how bad the rest of 2021 plays out. If so, Willis is already a player that’s frequently been projected to the Falcons in mock drafts.
