The Patriots had a tough outing Thursday night, losing 24-3 to the New York Jets. The failed to cover the 6.5-point spread, and the game stayed under the 39-point total. QB Jacoby Brissett had a rough night, barely hitting 100 passing yards, and the entire offense only managed 139 total yards. It was a forgettable performance from New England’s offense, to say the least.

The 49ers let a 10-point lead slip away in the 4th quarter and lost 27-24 to the division rival LA Rams. Even without key playmakers RB Christian McCaffrey, WR Deebo Samuel, and TE George Kittle, QB Brock Purdy still impressed, going 22-of-30 for 292 yards and 3 TDs. WR Jauan Jennings had a career day, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and all 3 of Purdy’s TD throws.

Patriots at 49ers head-to-head

The teams 1st met in 1971 and the 49ers lead the series 9-5. The last 4 meetings have been a real back-and-forth battle with each team winning twice, covering the spread twice, and splitting the Over/Under right down the middle at 2-2.

The last meeting was on Oct. 25, 2020, in New England. The 49ers shocked everyone by dominating the game and winning 33-6 as 1.5-point underdogs while the Under (45.5) hit.
