The Bulldogs did receive some votes to be a top-25 team, but are still on the outside looking in.

LSU is No. 14 in the USA TODAY Sports U.S. LBM Coaches Poll. The Tigers lost as a top-5 team in the opener 45-24 to the Florida State Seminoles despite QB Jayden Daniels’ 347 passing yards and 1 TD. The Tigers got an easier matchup in Week 2 against the Grambling State Tigers, beating them 72-10 as Daniels tossed 5 TD passes.

Both starting QBs are back from a season ago. In that game at Tiger Stadium, both programs were top-25 sides. Rogers went for 214 yards, a TD and an INT. Daniels had 210 yards and a TD as LSU won 31-16.

The Tigers have won the majority of the time, leading the Bulldogs 77-46-3. LSU won 14 straight games from 2000 to 2013. Since then, the Tigers are 6-3 against the Bulldogs.
