The Bengals are reeling. After thoroughly outplaying Pittsburgh in a Week 1 overtime loss, they came up short again in Week 2, falling 20-17 to an undermanned Dallas Cowboys team behind QB Cooper Rush.
The Bengals offensive line has somehow gotten worse since last season and QB Joe Burrow is on pace to be sacked 111 times this season.
The Jets rallied to win at the Cleveland Browns 31-30 Sunday. New York became the first team since 2001 to win a game after trailing by 13 or more points with 2 minutes remaining. The last team to accomplish this feat – the Chicago Bears – also did it against the Browns.
Will the Jets have an emotional letdown? Can the Bengals finally protect Burrow? These are the biggest questions for this Week 3 matchup.

Bengals vs. Jets head-to-head
The Jets lead the all-time series 18-10, but that includes an 0-2 postseason record. New York snapped a 3-game skid in the series last Halloween behind a 34-31 home victory.
The Bengals are 4.5-point favorites this Sunday. During their Super Bowl run last season, they were 11.5-point favorites in the 3-point loss at the Jets in Week 8. While that game was closer than expected, the Over 43 hit by a margin of 22 points as neither team had a solid defense. The Jets defense is still lacking, while the Bengals defense has played good so far this season.
While the Bengals have become the first team in history to have their last 5 games finish with the exact same margin (3), this could be the week to bet on Cincinnati to get things figured out.
