The Chicago Bears (0-4) and the Washington Commanders (2-2) meet Thursday in Week 5 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video). Below, we look at Bears vs. Commanders odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire’s NFL picks and predictions.

The Bears fired out to a 28-7 lead in Week 4 against the visiting Denver Broncos, and it appeared Chicago was on its way to a 1st victory. However, the Broncos scored 24 unanswered points, including the game-winning 51-yard field goal with 1:46 left to win it 31-28, a push at most shops. It wasn’t all bad, as QB Justin Fields completed a franchise-record 16 consecutive completions.  However, Chicago has now lost 14 consecutive games.

The Commanders fought the defending NFC champ Philadelphia Eagles hard in their place in Week 4, falling 34-31 in overtime. QB Sam Howell led the team on a 2-minute drill to force OT with a 10-yard TD pass to WR Jahan Dotson with no time left in regulation. But the Eagles pulled out the win, while the Commanders easily covered as 8.5-point underdogs.

Bears at Commanders head-to-head

Washington picked up an ugly 12-7 victory last season, also in a Thursday night game, covering as a 1-point favorite. The Commanders have managed a 6-1 against the spread (ATS) mark in the previous 7 meetings since Dec. 6, 2007. Last season’s Under result snapped a 4-game Over run, too.

The last time the Bears won at home in this series was Dec. 21, 2003, a 27-24 victory. Justin Fields was 4 years old when that happened, too.
