Oklahoma’s season started off easily with a 48-0 win over FCS Missouri State. Spencer Rattler had a strong debut, throwing for 290 yards and four touchdowns and Alex Grinch’s defense looked improved after another full offseason.
In Kansas State, OU faces its first real test of the season, and even then, the market has made it clear that this likely won’t be the game where we truly learn who these Sooners are.
Instead, it will likely serve as a much-needed tune-up game before OU goes on the road next weekend for a real test at Iowa State. And with OU-Texas right around the corner, expect Lincoln Riley to spend plenty of time breaking his guys in on Saturday.
