FINAL: Alabama bounces back from loss to LSU, defeats Ole Miss 30-24

Final from Oxford, Mississippi. Alabama avoids back-to-back losses.

Alabama improves to 8-2 on the 2022 college football regular season and avoids back-to-back losses for the first time since 2010. The Crimson Tide didn’t make it easy, but the team leaves Oxford with a 30-24 win over Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels.

Bryce Young played well despite inconsistencies on offense and a run game that was shut down for most of the contest.

Kiffin’s electric Rebels offense gave Pete Golding and the Tide defense a run for their money, but Alabama seemed to find its groove on the defensive side of the ball late in the game.

With this win over Ole Miss, LSU clinches the SEC West and will play for the conference championship in Atlanta. Alabama won’t be able to defends its conference title and the Tide will likely not come close to making the College Football Playoffs.

Next week, Alabama returns to Tuscaloosa to take on Austin Peay in a highly-anticipated matchup.
