The Serbian men’s national team tipped off its exhibition schedule ahead of the FIBA Basketball World Cup with a win over Greece in the Acropolis Cup on Tuesday.
Bogdan Bogdanovic led the way with 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the 71-64 victory at Olympic Stadium in Marousi, Greece. Marko Guduric added 14 points and seven rebounds, and Dusan Ristic added 11 points.
Philadelphia rookie Filip Petrusev had five points and five rebounds.
The contest was the first public event for Serbia after previously facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland and Montenegro in closed games. The team will face Italy on Wednesday before playing Puerto Rico (Aug. 16), China (Aug. 20) and Brazil (Aug. 21).

The FIBA Basketball World Cup will begin on Aug. 25 and take place in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines. Serbia will open against China in Group B on Aug. 26 and then face Puerto Rico on Aug. 28 and South Sudan on Aug. 30 in the group phase.
