Mychal Thompson was a first overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He wound up on championship teams in 1987 and ’88 with the Los Angeles Lakers. His son, Klay, plays for the Golden State Warriors and has won three NBA championships already.
