Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield has had a rollercoaster of a career in 6 NFL seasons. Selected 1st overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft, he was the PFWA Rookie of the Year that season. Not re-signed by the Browns, he spent a season as a backup with the Carolina Panthers and then the Los Angeles Rams. Last year, his 1st year with Tampa Bay, he earned a Pro Bowl selection. Below, we look at Baker Mayfield’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, he is expected to continue to settle in to his starting role with the Buccaneers and take further steps developmentally to help them get back to the playoffs. The dual-threat signal-caller is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Baker Mayfield’s ADP: 129.54

Mayfield has an ADP of 129.54 in redraft leagues, which puts him in the range of the 12th to 14th round, depending on the size of the league.

Among QBs, Mayfield’s ADP puts him 25th at the position, behind Kirk Cousins (Atlanta Falcons, 123.35), Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams, 121.85), Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers, 120.32) and Bo Nix (Denver Broncos, 117.00) and ahead of Geno Smith (Seattle Seahawks, 135.42), Deshaun Watson (Cleveland Browns, 136.48) and Derek Carr (New Orleans Saints, 138.32).

Where should you draft Mayfield?

Mayfield’s value in redraft leagues is incredibly low. He was a 4,000-plus yard passer with 28 TDs and 10 INTs last season allowing with 163 rushing yards. While he did have troubles turning the ball over, fumbling 8 times, he averaged 21.03 fantasy points per game.

Mayfield’s top targets this season will be WR Mike Evans and WR Chris Godwin, who rival top duos in the league. The Tampa Bay offense did not make many changes, also bringing back RB Rachaad White.

Draft Mayfield in the range of the 10th to 12th round. He has a solid offense around him and he presents a threat with his ability to escape the pocket. When healthy, he’s good for 4,000-plus yards and 25 TDs. He will make a solid backup QB for any fantasy roster.
