Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen has been among the best receivers in the NFL since being a 3rd-round pick (76th overall) in the 2013 draft. He was the 2013 PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year, the 2017 AP Comeback Player of the Year and is a 5-time Pro Bowler. Below, we look at Keenan Allen‘s 2023 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Entering 2023, Allen could be a major weapon for contending fantasy teams if he can stay on the field, but his previous injury history is a cause for concern.

Keenan Allen’s ADP: 37.55
(ADP data courtesy of MyFantasyLeague.com; last updated at time of this publishing – ADPs continually change as more drafts occur)
Allen has an ADP of 37.55 in redraft leagues, which puts him in the range of the 4th to 5th round, depending on the size of the league. His ADP is lower than that of teammates RB Austin Ekeler (6.91) and QB Justin Herbert (36.39).
Among wide receivers, Allen’s ADP puts him 19th at the position, behind the likes of Deebo Samuel (San Francisco 49ers, 35.93) and Tee Higgins (Cincinnati Bengals, 33.93) and ahead of Amari Cooper (Cleveland Browns, 43.02) and DeAndre Hopkins (Tennessee Titans, 49.59).

Where should you draft Allen?
Allen’s fantasy value should simply get a boost this year from him being healthy and able to stay on the field more. The improvements that Herbert will make in his 4th season in the NFL should help as well.
Allen should be a more high-target option than WR Mike Williams. Allen has topped 1,100 receiving yards in every season in which he has played 16 games (4 of the last 6). Only 14 receivers did that last season in a 17-game season. Allen has also had 100 or more receptions in 4 of his last 6 seasons.
Allen shouldn’t lose much target share and should be a top option in one of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL. Expect his return to glory if he can stay healthy, which is the clear risk when taking the 31-year-old.
Draft Allen ahead of Williams, but don’t let him fall out of the mid-3rd round in 12-team leagues and 4th round in 10-team leagues. When healthy, he’s good for 1,000-plus yards and 100-plus catches, making him more valuable in PPR formats.
