Fantasy football: Where to draft Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams

Analyzing Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams’ 2024 fantasy football ADP and where to target him in fantasy drafts.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams continues to be among the best at his position in the league as he enters his 11th season. Adams had his 4th-consecutive 100-reception, 1,000-yard season last year, marking his 5th in 6 campaigns. Adams is a much needed safety blanket for a Raiders offense that is desperately searching for real QB play.

Below, we look at Davante Adams’ 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Adams is expected to continue his production as one of the best route runners and receivers in the NFL, despite his QB play lacking since he left Green Bay for Las Vegas in March 2022.

Davante Adams’ ADP: 22.60

(ADP data courtesy of MyFantasyLeague.com; last updated at time of this publishing – ADPs continually change as more drafts occur)

Adams’ 22.60 in redraft leagues puts him in the range of late 2nd or 3rd round depending on the size of the league. His ADP is tops of any receiver in the AFC West.

Among all wideouts, Adams’ ADP puts him 10thth at the position, behind the Rams’ Puka Nacua (17.05), Arizona rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. (16.72) and the Jets’ Garrett Wilson (15.14). The Rams’ Cooper Kupp (26.40) is 11th, while New Orleans’ Chris Olave (28.27) and San Francisco’s Deebo Samuel (30.25) are 12th and 13, respectively.

Where should you draft Adams?

Adams has continued to be a very solid and reliable fantasy option year after year, and that’s continued even as his QB situation hasn’t been the best in Las Vegas.

Adams will be sharing targets with WR Jakobi Meyers and rookie TE Brock Bowers (out of Georgia), but Adams is the obvious No. 1 option in the Raiders offense — and I don’t see that changing at all.

The only real worry with drafting Adams is whether or not his quarterback will be able to get him the ball. Adams will do his part, but will Las Vegas’ new starting QB Gardner Minshew do his?

Minshew threw for 3,305 yards last season with 15 TDs and 9 interceptions in 17 games (13 starts) for the 9-8 Indianapolis Colts, who were 1 win away from making the postseason. QB Aidan O’Connell is the backup. He started the final 9 games last season, leading the Raiders to a 5-4 mark in those contests. Overall, Las Vegas finished 8-9 and O’Connell threw for 2,218 yards with 12 TDs and 7 picks in 11 games (10 starts).

Look for Adams to have yet another consistent season, but be aware that his 8 receiving TDs last season were his lowest since the 2019-20 season.

Draft Adams as your WR1 — or even WR2 if you took a wideout like Miami’s Tyreek Hill (3.92 ADP) with your 1st pick and there are no RBs available that you prefer. Having Adams as your WR1 is a very safe pick as you can predict what you’re going to get from him week in and week out.
