The Dallas Cowboys surprisingly traded WR Amari Cooper to the Cleveland Browns last offseason, parting ways with the talented receiver. In his 1st season with the Browns, Cooper had one of his best years yet as a pro.
He caught 78 passes for a career-high 1,160 yards and 9 TDs, leading all Browns receivers by more than 300 yards. His silky smooth route running was on display all season long, which is what makes him such a difficult cover for defensive backs.
Below, we look at Amari Cooper‘s 2023 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Cooper is expected to be the Browns’ top receiver once again in 2023, making him a good player to target for your fantasy team.

Amari Cooper’s ADP: 44.61

Cooper has an ADP of 44.61 in redraft leagues, which puts him in the range of the 4th to 5th round, depending on the size of the league. Two receivers slightly ahead of Cooper are Los Angeles Chargers’ Keenan Allen (39.43) and San Francisco 49ers’ Deebo Samuel (38.37). Denver Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy (51.15) is next below Cooper.
Cooper ranks 19th at the wide receiver position in redraft leagues based on ADP and has been selected in 78% of leagues thus far.

Where should you draft Cooper?
Cooper should be in for his biggest year yet in 2023, for a couple of reasons. Not only is he healthy heading into the start of the season, but he should finally have some consistent quarterback play after catching passes from both QB Jacoby Brissett and Deshaun Watson last year.
Now that Watson has had a full offseason to work in the offense and with Cooper, their connection should be significantly better than it was last year. There was actually a drop-off in Cooper’s production once Watson took over last year, averaging 61.3 yards per game with Watson under center after averaging 72 per game with Brissett.
What’s also helping Cooper’s stock is the lack of a true No. 2 option in the Browns offense. They do have WR Donovan Peoples-Jones and WR Elijah Moore, but neither has the track record that Cooper does. There’s little doubt that Cooper will be Watson’s go-to target.
Cooper’s value around the 4th round feels like a good one, especially given the fact that he’s going to be the No. 1 receiver for Cleveland.
