Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp had been QB Jared Goff‘s favorite target, but he’ll have a new quarterback throwing him passes in 2021. Below, we look at Cooper Kupp’s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Matthew Stafford came over in a trade with the Detroit Lions, giving the Rams an upgrade at quarterback. That should have a positive impact on Kupp and the team’s other receivers.
Aside from a few injuries that have kept him out of action, Kupp has been remarkably consistent since being a third-round pick in 2017. He has averaged 5.3 catches and 66.1 yards per game in his career, racking up 2,135 yards and 13 touchdowns in his last two seasons.
Kupp’s touchdown numbers have varied widely. He scored 10 times in 2019 but only 3 times last year. He found the end zone 6 times in only eight games in 2018 before getting hurt.

Kupp has an ADP of 72.59 in redraft leagues, which puts him in the range of the sixth to eighth round, depending on the size of the league. His ADP is lower than his teammate Robert Woods‘ (63.35), though.
Among wide receivers, Kupp’s ADP puts him 24th at the position, behind the likes of Diontae Johnson (Pittsburgh Steelers), Adam Thielen (Minnesota Vikings) and Tyler Lockett (Seattle Seahawks), and slightly ahead of Kenny Golladay (New York Giants) and Brandon Aiyuk (San Francisco 49ers).

Where should you take Cooper Kupp in your fantasy football draft?
Kupp’s fantasy value should get a boost this year with the arrival of Stafford, who’s a much more aggressive passer than Goff was with the Rams.
Kupp will still mostly be an underneath receiver with not many deep routes, but he’s excellent after the catch and the mere threat of Stafford throwing deep to DeSean Jackson or Woods opens things up for Kupp.
The addition of Jackson does hurt Kupp’s value slightly because he’s going to get playing time, as will Van Jefferson. However, Kupp isn’t a player head coach Sean McVay likes to take off the field. He’ll be out there the majority of the time and with 258 targets in his last two seasons, Kupp should remain a high-volume player.
Draft Kupp slightly after Woods, but don’t let him fall out of the seventh or eighth round in 10-team leagues. When healthy, he’s good for 80-90 catches and 900-plus yards. He’s even more valuable in PPR leagues because of how often he’s targeted.
