Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones recorded his second consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season in 2020, although he took a big step backwards in the scoring department. Below, we look at Jones’ 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Jones was re-signed to a four-year, $48 million contract in the offseason. He heads into the 2021 season with a little bit of uncertainty as there is still no clarity to the situation with QB Aaron Rodgers. If there is no Rodgers, we might see opposing defenses stack the box limiting the effectiveness of Jones. That is not a situation fantasy managers want to see.

Jones is still flying off the shelf by the end the second round in most fantasy formats with many taking a leap of faith that the impasse with Rodgers will work itself out.
With a dynamic passer like Rodgers under center, Jones has some of the pressure taken off of him. If he ends up being in there, Jones will look like a steal at the end of Round 2. As it stands now, he is the 10th running back off the board.

Where should you take Jones in your fantasy football draft?
It’s just my personal preference, but I’d select Jones if he were to fall into Round 3-4. But I don’t like to fiddle around with my first few picks, and Rodgers’ uncertainty spills over and affects all of the skill position fantasy players across the board in Green Bay.
Jones is a high-risk, high-reward pick, and while I enjoy gambling across the board in most sports, when it comes to fantasy, I am very conservative. There are so many other tailback options in this same neighborhood, and there are other quality fantasy options at wideout, quarterback, etc., too.
