Fantasy football draft: Where to target Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray

Analyzing Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray’s 2021 fantasy football ADP and where you should target him in your drafts.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray has been impressive in two NFL seasons. Selected first overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, he was the Offensive Rookie of the Year that season and then selected as a Pro Bowl starter for the NFC in 2020. Below, we look at Kyler Murray’s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2021, he is expected to take another big step in his development and ideally will be a star, becoming a top-10 or top-five quarterback in the league. The dual-threat signal-caller is intriguing in terms of fantasy value.

Murray’s ADP is 16.54, which ranks 14th among all players. He has been selected as high as first overall and as low as 69th.

He’s the third quarterback going off the board, on average, behind only Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes and Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen.

Where should you take Kyler Murray in your fantasy football draft?

Murray has incredible statistical potential. He flirted with both 4,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards last season. With a 17-game season in 2021, 5,000 combined passing and rushing yards should be nearly a guarantee.

He hopes to not have to run the ball as much, but he is always going to be a red-zone threat either with his arm or his legs.

After 37 combined passing and rushing touchdowns in 2020, somewhere between 40-50 is possible this season. His passing touchdowns should increase with an improved receiving corps.

Murray is definitely worth a first-round pick and you should even consider him with the first overall pick if you own it. He is my QB1 in fantasy this year and, because of his production both as a runner and a passer, I am not afraid of making him fantasy player No. 1.
