Fantasy football draft: Where to draft Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb?

Analyzing Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb’s 2021 fantasy football ADP and where you should target him in your drafts.

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb will be one of the top picks in fantasy football despite sharing touches with RB Kareem Hunt. Below, we look at Nick Chubb‘s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Chubb will look to continue his reign over the AFC North. The two-time Pro Bowl back will be entering his fourth year in the league looking for his third straight 1,000-yard season.

The lead back on what should be an elite offense, Chubb will garner a high amount of touches as he notched a career-high 5.6 yards per carry last season.

Although he played in just 12 games, Chubb’s productivity was on another level. Despite that, he still isn’t considered among the elite fantasy football running backs though, lacking much use in the pass game.

Chubb’s ADP: 16.88

Chubb is in the second tier of running backs taken off the board. He’s dinged by not being a true three-down back. His 16.88 ADP represents an early second-round pick in standard 12-team leagues.

He’s the No. 9 back taken off the board. There is some wiggle room as Pittsburgh Steelers rookie RB Najee Harris is slightly above at No. 8.

Chubb is the safest option in the early second round. He’s been taken as high as No. 5 and as low as No. 37, which is likely in PPR leagues as he struggles to find value as a pass-catching back.

Games: 12

Carries/rushing yards: 190/1,067

Receptions/receiving yards: 16/150

Touchdowns: 12 rushing/0 receiving

Where should you take Chubb in your fantasy football draft?

Unless it’s a one-keeper league, Chubb should not be on the board. Keeper and dynasty leagues should see Chubb remain with the same manager.

As for PPR leagues, his stock should drop a bit as he’s not much of an option in the passing game.

There’s no denying Los Angeles Chargers RB Austin Ekeler is a more intriguing PPR option. However, Chubb averaged the seventh-most points per game of backs that played at least five games in PPR leagues.

In standard leagues, Chubb averaged the fourth-most points per game of running backs that appeared in at least five games in 2020.

He’s a late first-round pick in standard leagues and an early second-round pick in PPR leagues.
