We’re so used to hearing “indisputable visual evidence” getting repeated during every NFL broadcast whenever a play goes to a review or challenge. If there’s any doubt, the ruling on the field has to stand.
So with that in mind, the Titans certainly have reason to be upset with the replay crew.
Julio Jones didn’t have the debut with the Tennessee Titans that he would have hoped for. In the Week 1 loss to Arizona, Jones was limited to just three catches and 29 yards. Sunday’s Week 2 game against Seattle would be way different for Jones. He eclipsed the 100-yard mark in the first half and looked like he had hauled in his first Titans touchdown just before halftime.
But replay would have other ideas.
