Taysom Hill is probably going to count for about 2.1% of the New Orleans Saints’ total salary cap commitments a year from now after signing a four-year contract extension, and fans and CBA-illiterate bloggers on Twitter are in an uproar about it. The team was already due to count $8.9 million in dead money for him, which they can now reduce in a restructured deal to help re-sign pending free agents and bring in other players.
But the uneducated see that Hill signed a $95 million extension and have to get these tweets off, even if that isn’t exactly the case. Still, it’s a good opportunity to laugh at their expense:
