Fans create utterly absurd anime intro for Final Fantasy 14

Unofficial but no less extraordinary.

A group of passionate fans made an anime opening for Final Fantasy 14.

As first spotted by PCGamesN, several content creators came together to make a mock anime OP for  Final Fantasy 14’s Endwalker  expansion. Specifically Husky by the Geek, Alex Moukala, Studio Nicktendo, Magitek Productions and Denmo Mcstronghuge. They didn’t just cut together some game footage and attach a random anime theme song onto it, oh no — the music was an original composition written for this fake intro.

Check out the unofficial anime opening for Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker  for yourself below. It’s hilariously well put together, to the point where you could probably fool someone into believing it was official.

Square Enix itself took an interest in the fake opening as well, with Final Fantasy 14’s  composer Masayoshi Soken sharing a good deal of enthusiasm for the fan project.

“What the heeeeeeeeeeeeell!! This is our Eorzea,” Soken said  on Twitter. “What a Passionate song! We’ve been in a really cool world. Lets goooooooooooooooo.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself, Soken. The artwork for the fan-made Endwalker  opening is brilliant too

Fully expecting Endwalker  to mark a new high-point in the MMORPG’s popularity, Square Enix announced  that players should expect server congestion, which is a safe bet. After all, even  Doja Cat is playing these days.
