The Falcons were supposed to play a home game in London last season, but COVID-19 thwarted Atlanta’s return to England. Fast forward to 2021 and the team is once again slated for an international matchup. In Week 5, the Falcons will take on the Jets, who recorded their first win of the season a week ago.
So, when will the Falcons travel to the UK? Per Michael Rothstein of ESPN, the team will leave for London on Thursday. The time difference between London and Atlanta is five hours, so getting there early will allow time for the players to adjust their body clocks.
(but Thursday. Team leaves Thursday)

The last time the Falcons traveled to London, the team gave away a 21-0 halftime lead and lost to the Lions 22-21. The team’s four offensive drives in the second half consisted of three punts and an interception. The Lions had five possession, three of which were 11 or more plays and two of those possessions took over seven or more minutes of the clock.
Hopefully the Falcons come away from London with a win over the Jets and avoid an even deeper hole than the 1-3 one they are currently in.
