Falcons owner Arthur Blank shared a cool mic’d-up moment with Panthers CB Jaycee Horn

So wholesome.

If you want to feel old, Falcons owner Arthur Blank and Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn have just the conversation for you.

For much of the 2000s, former Saints wide receiver Joe Horn was among the most exciting players in the league. He made four Pro Bowls and had arguably the most notorious touchdown celebration in NFL history. He played his final season with the Falcons back in 2007 and mentored Roddy White who was an emerging star in the Atlanta offense.

All that was fresh on Blank’s mind when he saw “Horn” on the back of a player’s jersey ahead of Thursday night’s game against Carolina. He had to go to Jaycee and chat. But even Blank probably didn’t expect to hear that Joe Horn’s son was already in the NFL. It made for a great moment, though.

When Blank asked if the Jaycee was related to Joe Horn, the Falcons owner was clearly surprised to hear that Joe was Jaycee’s dad. Blank then went on to compliment Joe as a player and teacher for White.

It was definitely a cool exchange. I loved how Jaycee had heard Joe say the exact same thing that Blank told him about White.

NFL fans also appreciated that mic’d-up conversation.
