The #Falcons are placing starting left guard Josh Andrews on injured reserve after he broke his hand in practice Tuesday, per source.
Andrews will have minor surgery. Not expected to be long-term and IR rules this year allow players to return in as little as three weeks.

Andrews was in line to start next to Jake Matthews up front, but look for rookie Jalen Mayfield to get some reps with the first-team offense this week in place of the veteran lineman.
The Falcons have also claimed guard Colby Gossett from Cleveland.
