Falcons head coach Arthur Smith compliments Bears’ ground game

“They’re a really good rushing team,” Falcons coach Arthur Smith said about the Bears offense. “They get contributions from everybody.”

The Atlanta Falcons (7-8) will face the Chicago Bears (6-9) on the road in Week 17 as they look to stay alive in the NFC South division race. The Bears have won four in a row at Soldier Field and the Falcons are just 2-5 on the road this season.

Head coach Arthur Smith discussed the team’s upcoming game in Chicago during his Wednesday press conference. He went on to compliment the Bears’ running game and their multitude of capable rushers.

“They’re a really good rushing team,” said Smith. “They get contributions from everybody. Three good traditional runners and, obviously, Justin [Fields] — he’s got almost 600 yards. Some of it’s designed. Some of it’s on play extension.”

Fields has passed for 2,146 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, with nine interceptions. The third-year QB also has three rushing touchdowns.
