The Atlanta Falcons have elevated wide receiver Xavier Malone from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans.
Malone, a former undrafted free agent out of Henderson State, will help fill in for wide receiver Josh Ali in Week 5. The Falcons placed Ali on the injured reserve list last week and signed defensive lineman Eli Ankou as his replacement on the 53-man roster.
While Malone didn’t make the team out of training camp, he played well for the Falcons in the 2023 preseason. Malone was Atlanta’s highest-graded player in the team’s preseason win over the Miami Dolphins.
