Falcons elevate offensive lineman Matt Hennessy from the practice squad for Week 4

The Atlanta Falcons (1-2) have elevated offensive lineman Matt Hennessy for their Week 4 matchup against the New Orleans Saints (2-1). Hennessy was signed to the practice squad on Tuesday after the team placed starting center Drew Dalman on the injured reserve list.

The 26-year-old was selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Falcons, spending his first three seasons in Atlanta and starting 22 games. Hennessy signed with the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2024 NFL offseason but didn’t make the team out of training camp.

The Falcons signed Elijah Wilkinson off the practice squad to take Dalman’s place on the 53-man roster. However, Dalman wasn’t the only offensive lineman injured during Week 3.

Starting right tackle Kaleb McGary (knee) avoided the injured reserve list but has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. Check out Atlanta’s full injury report, depth chart, and 53-man roster/practice squad entering Week 4.
