Ex-Titans GM Ruston Webster interviewed for Raiders vacancy

Webster was the Titans’ general manager for four seasons before being fired.

Former Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster has reportedly been given an interview for the Las Vegas Raiders vacancy.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Webster was one of two to talk with the Raiders about their general manager vacancy recently, along with Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Scouting Coordinator, Brandon Hunt.

Webster was with the Titans from 2010 to 2015, first serving as the vice president of player personnel for two years before becoming the general manager from 2012 to 2015.

Things did not go well with Webster at the helm. Tennessee compiled an 18-40 record and zero playoff appearances, and Webster was responsible for plenty of bad draft picks to make things worse.

After getting fired in January 2016, Webster took a job as a scout for the Atlanta Falcons, where he still resides, but the damage was done.

Thankfully for the Titans, current general manager Jon Robinson was able to clean up the mess after Webster’s ousting and Tennessee hasn’t had a losing season since.
