The New York Giants did not have any players named to the 2010s All-Decade Team, but two of their former players will be named to the D2 Football All-Decade Team.
D2Football.com has announced the 50 players that have been selected to the 2010-2019 All-Decade Team earlier this week, which was broken down into a First Team and Second Team. And while the Giants were again blanked on the first team, former defensive backs Janoris Jenkins and Brandon Dixon were named to the second team.
Jenkins, a second-round pick of the then-St. Louis Rams in the 2012 NFL Draft out of North Alabama, joined the Giants in 2016 and spent nearly four years with the team.
Following some disciplinary issues in 2018 and the use of disparaging word on Twitter in 2019, the Giants traded Jenkins to the New Orleans Saints last season.
After renegotiating his contract this offseason, Jenkins will remain in New Orleans over the next few season.
Dixon went undrafted out of Northwest Missouri State in 2014 before signing with the New York Jets and then moving onto the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers before landing with the Giants in 2017, where he played alongside Jenkins.
After sitting out the 2018 season, Dixon got back into football with the Orlando Apollos in 2019 as part of the now defunct AAF.
