Back in June, former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz was defeated on Mount Olympus during the “Titan Games,” which is hosted by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on NBC.
On Monday, Cruz took on Wayne Skivington and Exodus Rogers in the West Region of the tournament.
After being defeated by Noah Palicia by a landslide in June, Cruz vowed not to give up as he would compete on the show again.

In a different obstacle course, Cruz went up against his opponents’ hammering poles, which they would eventually have to climb in order to obtain the victory chain. Although he didn’t have the lead in the beginning of the ‘Hammer Down’ course, Cruz took advantage of Rogers taking a fall and was able to grab the victory chain first.
Later in the show Cruz went up against Skivington head-to-head for a chance to take on Noah Palicia — the same Palicia who Cruz was defeated by back in June — Mount Olympus.
Cruz and Skivington competed in the resistance course which had the contestants throwing 75-pound barrels over a barrier to clear their sides while basically playing tug-of-war with each other. Cruz took a 1-0 lead early in the game but made an error by choosing to give up on the second barrel he was working on, and Skivington took advantage of it.
After Skivington took a 2-1 lead, Cruz fought through fatigue and tied up the battle by getting his second barrel over. After that, it was all Skivington, who cleared the final three barrels on his side and eliminated Cruz from the competition.
With his appearance on the show, Cruz continues to build an impressive post-playing resume. He may have fallen short in the competition but he will live on in Giants hearts as he was a fan favorite during his time with Big Blue.
