Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke with reporters on Tuesday, and it’s typically filled with promising news about player development or an update on how practices are going.
However, this media session had its fair share of disappointing news. Sarkisian noted that one defensive back has been suspended from team activities for violating team rules. He also expressed he was disheartened by defensive lineman Moro Ojomo’s comments to the media last week.
On the bright side, Sarkisian did mention that both quarterbacks played well during their first scrimmage over the weekend. The second-year head coach also gave a shout out to a former cornerback turned safety that is impressing throughout spring practices.
The Longhorns are gearing up for the annual Orange-White spring game on April 23. It’s essentially just a glorified practice that fans are able to attend at no charge, but it does allow for new players to get accustomated to a game-like atmosphere.
Here’s everything Sarkisian had to say to the media on Tuesday.
