Everything Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said after the Kansas State win

“I don’t know what pass interference is either so don’t ask me.”

No. 7 Texas escaped with a 33-30 overtime win over No. 23 Kansas State in Week 10.

While the Longhorns started the game off hot and led by 17 points in the first quarter, adversity struck in the second quarter and lasted throughout the remainder of the game.

A blocked punt, two interceptions, fumble and questionable playcalling quickly allowed Kansas State to get back into the game. The Wildcats eventually forced overtime and Texas’ chances to leave victorious appeared slim.

For the majority of the game, quarterback Maalik Murphy couldn’t get anything going on offense. He was missing wide open intermediate throws and making poor decision with the football. With Texas’ offense clearly struggling, it looked as if the Wildcats would capitalize in overtime.

Fortunately for the Longhorns, Texas’ defense came up clutch when it mattered most. Good teams find ways to win ugly games and that’s exactly what happened to Texas on Saturday.

Third-year head coach Steve Sarkisian had plenty to discuss after the game, including Murphy’s struggles, questionable calls by the refs, his playcalling and more.

Here’s a look at everything Sarkisian had to say after the important win over Kansas State.
