On Saturday night inside a rowdy Bryant-Denny Stadium, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide took down Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers 42-28 to keep a tight grip on first place in the SEC West.
With the win, Coach Saban and the Tide move to 8-1 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in SEC play. Following the loss, LSU fell to 6-3 and 4-2 in conference play.
After a back-and-forth first half, Alabama dominated the Tigers in the second half outscoring LSU 21-7 in the final 30 minutes of action.
