Everything Bruce Pearl and Auburn’s players said after beating AUM

It’s safe to say that Chad Baker-Mazara and Denver Jones enjoyed their frst game as Auburn Tigers.

Auburn picked up a comfortable win over Auburn-Montgomery Wednesday night in their exhibition, cruising to a 102-66 victory in Neville Arena.

While the win was nice, the story of the game was the status of five-star freshman point guard [autotag]Aden Holloway[/autotag] and center [autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag].

Holloway did not dress for the game and [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] revealed after the game that he “tweaked” his ankle in a cruised scrimmage last week.

Broome took a hard fall early into the exhibition and immediately went into the locker room. He did not return to the game but returned to the bench soon after with ice on his shoulder.

Pearl did not seem worried about either injury, saying Holloway should be back for Tuesday’s season-opener against Baylor and that Broome suffered “a little bit of pinch in his rotator cuff” and that he “should be ok.”

Here is everything Pearl, [autotag]Denver Jones[/autotag] and [autotag]Chad Baker-Mazara[/autotag] had to say about the game.
