There is a lot on the shoulders of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray this season. He is expected to improve on his 2019 season, a year in which he was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. The Cardinals improved the roster and hope he can take a big step in his second year, potentially leading the team to the postseason.
The belief is the Cardinals will go as far as Murray can take them.
According to Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker, Murray has come back seemingly in a Murray 2.0 version.
“This year, I just feel like he’s bigger, he’s stronger, he’s faster,” he said on the Jim Rome Show. “His arm is great. He throws the ball farther, more zip on it. I’m very excited for what Kyler Murray can do, for sure.”
Murray has added some bulk in the offseason, hoping to be better prepared for the pounding a quarterback can take.
Bigger, faster, stronger with a better arm than he had as a rookie?
It certainly sounds hyperbolic, but that’s exactly the sort of things fans want and need to hear.
Murray is primed for a big season. Cardinals fans should get ready for it.
