Everyone could see Sean Payton’s playbook on Thursday Night Football

It’s been a rough go for head coach Sean Payton in his return to the NFL. After a year away from coaching, Payton came back to the league after the Denver Broncos traded for him to make him their top man.

So far, they haven’t had a great return on investment from Payton. Denver is 1-5 on the season, following their lackluster 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. During the game, Payton seems to have taken another ride on the “whoopsie-go-round” by inadvertently showing his entire playbook to the camera.

Somewhere, Bill Belichick is taking down notes for the Patriots’ Week 16 showdown against the Broncos at Mile High. Or maybe he isn’t, because he figures it probably wouldn’t help him, as Denver only had 197 total yards of offense last night.

Either way, the hits keep on coming for Payton and the Broncos, as both brands continue to be damaged by yet another horrendous start to a season.
