This is encouraging: NewOrleans.Football’s Mike Triplett reports that all of the Saints players listed as questionable on Week 8’s injury report made the trip for Sunday’s road game with the Indianapolis Colts. That includes the nine players previously listed on the injury report as well as wide receiver Michael Thomas, who the team later announced was questionable to play due to an illness.
A bug has been making the rounds through the team facility this week, impacting a range of personnel from Alvin Kamara and Dennis Allen to Marcus Maye and Jimmy Graham. But it’s looking like the Saints at least hope to have everyone available after all, though starting left tackle James Hurst is out with an ankle injury.
Another sign of optimism? The Saints didn’t elevate any players from their practice squad for this game despite having so many questionable statuses on the injury report. That certainly suggests they plan to play all available starters on Sunday. Here’s a quick recap of the players who were listed as questionable going into game day:
- OL Andrus Peat (ankle)
- LB Demario Davis (knee)
- SS Tyrann Mathieu (foot)
- FS Marcus Maye (hamstring/illness)
- FS J.T. Gray (hamstring)
- CB Alontae Taylor (hip)
- QB Taysom Hill (chest)
- OG Max Garcia (illness)
- TE Jimmy Graham (illness)
- WR Michael Thomas (illness)
