The recent trade of Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers has shifted the balance of power in the NBA. The Milwaukee Bucks emerged as strong contenders in the Eastern Conference after picking up the star point guard for veteran floor general Jrue Holiday and Grayson Allen in a three-team deal with the Phoenix Suns.
While many experts believe the Bucks are now favorites to come out of the East, there are key factors to consider, including coaching and the Boston Celtics’ role in the conference race. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith offered a dissenting opinion to the rush to jump on the Bucks’ bandwagon on a recent episode of the network’s “First Take” show.
