There’s no doubt that the coronavirus has taken the world by surprise and storm as daily routines have had to change for people all over the world. Jobs have been closed, sports have been cancelled, and many people are in quarantine. ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit shared with TMZ that he’d be shocked if we saw any NFL or College Football game this fall.

“I’ll be shocked if we have NFL football this fall, if we have college football. I’ll be so surprised if that happens,” Kirk said. “Just because from what I understand, people that I listen to, you’re 12 to 18 months from a [coronavirus] vaccine. I don’t know how you let these guys go into locker rooms and let stadiums be filled up and how you can play ball. I just don’t know how you can do it with the optics of it.”
“Next thing you know you got a locker room full of guys that are sick. And that’s on your watch? I wouldn’t want to have that. As much as I hate to say it, I think we’re scratching the surface of where this thing’s gonna go.”
“You don’t all of the sudden come up with something in July or August and say, ‘Okay we’re good to go’ and turn ’em loose!”
The NCAA has already cancelled all spring sports for the rest of the year, as well as cancelled pro-days and in-person visits.
Even the NFL has made changes such as prohibiting teams from conducting pre-draft visits. They’ve also made changed to the NFL draft. Although the dates will stay the same, fans will not be attending this year.
