During the few dry portions of the NFL’s yearly schedule in the summer, many rankings, polls, and other pieces of content come about.
Even ESPN gets on board.
In theirs, the outlet will go position-by-position and rank players after anonymously speaking to players, coaches, scouts, and other NFL execs. Enter quarterbacks.
The QB poll saw Buffalo Bills signal caller Josh Allen named the third-best in the NFL. However, one of those anonymous people to speak out used a word to describe Allen that ended up triggering many: “Overrated.”
Among that faction was ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky.
A former QB himself, Orlovsky adamantly defended Allen against the take.
“He’s an idiot, that source. Respectfully,” Orlovsky said.
His full defense of Allen can be found in the clip below:
"Josh Allen is two or three plays away from being a multi-Super Bowl appearing quarterback and potentially Super Bowl winning quarterback. … It's a moronic statement to make."@danorlovsky7 can't believe people are calling Josh Allen overrated 😯 pic.twitter.com/FArfwUkOhX
