See how ESPN’s SP+ predicts the Spartans’ matchup against Iowa playing out this week

The computers don’t like Michigan State’s chances this week against Iowa.

ESPN SP+ provides predictions for each game each week, and it appears the algorithm favors the Hawkeyes by quite a bit on Saturday. SP+ is predicting that Iowa will beat Michigan State by the final score of 26-15.

Michigan State football comes into this game as a 5.5-point underdog, according to FanDuel. So it’s clear to SP+ that you should take Iowa -5.5 in the game.

Michigan State is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in Big Ten play. The Spartans have lost three straight games coming into this matchup.

Iowa is 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Big Ten play this season. The Hawkeyes picked up a convincing win over Washington last week.

Kickoff from Spartan Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on NBC.
